Well we started 2008 with new puppies. We got the girls Australian Shepherd puppies for Christmas last year. Aren't they cute? (See photo to the right). Their names are Lucy (the black tri colored) and Banzai (the Blue Merle as they are called). Lucy is the female and she is a spazzy, feisty, independent dog who is sometimes psycho. Banzai is gentle, loving, very loyal, protective and a bit neurotic. They are good dogs and we enjoy them a lot.
Todd is still working at Guitar Center as VP of Enterprise Architecture. He is also coaching Bethany's basketball team this year. They are the "Bruins" this time around. Todd and 8 little girls with attitude....Hmmm... Maybe he has an easier job as VP!
Bethany and Hannah are doing well. They are being home-schooled online this school year. So far, it has been hectic and successful. It has its ups and downs but overall, they are learning some heavy duty academics compared to public school. The curriculum is quite advanced and it gets a bit extreme at times but what an experience! I have little time to myself and they don't have the benefit of all the fun stuff public school has to offer and they miss a few friends too. But their are other benefits they like just as much like "Mall Fridays" and they get done a lot earlier and no homework! They also have lots of playdates and avoid a lot of the drama that helped me make the decision to do this. They are both doing gymnastics and Bethany just started basketball. Hannah gets to be teacher's helper at church with the younger kids and Bethany has made a couple new friends in her 5th-6th grade Sunday School class.
I have just been busy with life. I don't have much time to myself and it gets hectic from time to time but that is where God has me now. I trust He will continue to guide me. That is all for now. I hope you all have a wonderful New Year! May God bless you and your family abundantly.

ReplyDeleteHey Jen. I decided to do it specifically for family members like you and your girls. It is a good way to keep in the loop. That is, IF I keep it up. I hope to try to make an entry each week. New Year's is next! Happy 2009! Miss you.
