HAPPY 2009!!!

Well, we hope everyone is well and recovering from the whirlwind holidays. I know we are. We took a trip up to Santa Ynez and had fun at Chumash Casino a few days ago. We don't do it very often but it is nice to get away. I think next time, we'll try a peaceful, less smoky, more relaxing place to hang. I realized that slot machines and smoke-filled rooms just are not my thing. I must be getting old or just lost interest or both. Anyway, it was nice to get away with just me and Todd. Special thanks to Grandma, Grammy and Papa for letting us do that.
Well, we did not do much to celebrate New Year's but we did stay up until midnight and that's something! I think we were so tired from our trip and all the festivities that relaxing at home was just what we needed. We played Surfing Monopoly and Guitar Hero and of course, we had explosive poppers and silly hats as you can see in the photo. I watched "The Top 100 Hard Rock Songs" on TV in between turns. Ahh memories.
So we are going to enjoy our last few days before we go back to the grind of work and homeschool. God bless you and your families in 2009!
