Holidays are over but no time to relax!

So just when we thought we were all done with the busyness of Christmas and New Year's and taking down all the decorations, I had to reflect on what to do for Hannah's birthday! She turns 8 on Sunday and has always wanted a surprise party so that is that. Bethany wanted to plan the whole thing so we are having a surprise ROCK STAR party for Hannah. Of course I will include some photos after next week.
We sent out invitations with ticket stubs as their "admission" into the event. They will get lanyard necklaces with "BACKSTAGE PASS" on them and their names. We will collect their ticket stubs and enter them into a drawing for prizes. Then we will have them get in groups of two to make up their own group poster and get face painting and glitter makeup and rehearse their performances from the Disney "Sing It" Wii game filled with Jonas Brothers, Hannah Montana and all the faves. Bethany and her friends will have "STAGE MANAGER" and "PRESS PASSES" to organize the whole event and take photos. Then they will play some trivia games for more prizes and the cake will have a big guitar on it that we are desgining ourselves! Pretty fun huh? Of course, keeping it a secret has been the hardest part. But it looks like we are going to pull it off. Todd will bring her out after church and we already have everything ready to go and in what order so we don't miss a beat.
So that is what is going on in this house right now. Oh yeah, besides homeschooling, remodeling, and regular life! Talk to you later. God bless.
