Happy Saturday!

Well I actually had a busy week and am happy the weekend is here. We are in the final stretches of school and the I am stretching the girls curriculum to meet the daily requirements (at least 4 hours). They have completed the full curriculum for several subjects so we are supplementing the subjects they still have to complete with some downloaded subjects off some education sites. They enjoy that more than their regular curriculum because it is something new but I am glad it is almost over because it is hard to pour through what they have already done in Math and Language Arts and find lessons that they haven't already mastered.

So today we take our doggies in for a photo shoot. I got them bathed and brushed yesterday and that was no small task. When I washed one, the other was in my face or licking the water off the other! In retrospect, If anyone was videotaping my fiasco, I would have made it on America's Funniest Videos because it was a comedy of errors.

First I tackled Lucy because she is the hardest, least cooperative one. She wrestled with me and tried to get out of her collar and during our struggles, the hose has a turn off valve that WAS off but when I dropped it, it flipped on and started spraying me everywhere strating in my face full blast! Then Lucy ran off full of suds and Banzai followed her licking her shampoo off. So I got her back and finished rinsing her the best I could and she looked like a wet black and white chicken and went straight to the grass and dirt to dry off. So much for clean!

Then I tackled Banzai, the big dude! He was sweet and gentle and very cooperative until a dog ran by our house with his owner and he took off with my hand stuck in his collar and then I tweaked my back trying to keep my balance as I was caught off guard!

So you might ask "Why not bathe them on a leash?" Well, I cannot put them on a leash to wash them because they go CRAZY when they see their leashes because they think we're going for a walk and it takes them FOREVER to calm down. So bathing the dogs is a HUGE chore. The girls usually help me out but they were doing school work so I think next time, I'll wait and do it with Todd. At least they are somewhat clean. I will post the photos when I get them. Hope you all have a great weekend! God bless.

  1. To much!!! To bad no one was videotaping, but I totally know what you mean! Moments that are so crazy and hysterical you just want to say, "Okay guys come on out now! Where are you hiding the camera? Seriously! Everyone had a good laugh, can you help me now! I'd really appreciate it!" Thanks for sharing!
